When you need a filling or restoration, Dr. Mike or Dr. Jayson will remove the decay and/or broken filling to restore your tooth without compromising natural beauty. In the past, dark metal fillings were the only choice. Now, we use only tooth-colored materials in our repairs.
You may need tooth-colored fillings or CEREC restorations to correct your oral health, and your dentist will recommend the appropriate solution for your situation. For small cavities, composite fillings often offer a viable correction. However, large areas of decay and worn-out fillings usually benefit from a stronger porcelain restoration, which we create onsite with our CEREC machine.
If you need a tooth-colored filling, the dentist will make sure you are comfortable, then prepare your tooth by removing decay. Because we can mix shades to match your natural dentition, your composite filling will blend with your smile, unlike a metal filling. When placing a tooth-colored filling, the dentist can be more conservative and remove only what is absolutely necessary to restore your tooth to optimum strength.
