Stains, cracks, or chips in your front teeth can rob you of the natural, beautiful smile that you deserve. Porcelain veneers can satisfy virtually any desire for smile design. Some patients even qualify for no-prep or minimal-prep veneers, such as DURAthins. No-prep or minimal-prep veneers allow for the most conservative application.
Made from thin porcelain shells, traditional veneers and prepless veneers mask imperfections and will blend seamlessly with your natural teeth. Traditional porcelain veneers require two visits to our office. At the first appointment, Dr. Mike or Dr. Jayson will usually remove a thin layer of enamel to prepare your teeth for the veneers, unless you are to receive prepless veneers. The dentist will then take an impression, which the ceramist will use as a model when handcrafting your custom porcelain veneers. As a preview for the look and feel of your new smile, we will fit you with temporary veneers to wear until we receive your permanent veneers from the lab. During your second visit, Dr. Mike or Dr. Jayson will permanently bond the veneers to your front teeth. Get ready to share your white, sparkling smile with the world.
Prepless and minimal prep veneers, such as the brands DURAthins, among others, work a little differently than traditional veneers. These contact-lens-like pieces of porcelain actually adhere directly to front teeth. With prepless veneers, you will need little to no tooth enamel preparation, and your dentist can remove the veneers later if you decide to return to your original smile. No-prep veneers aren't for everyone. Dr. Mike or Dr. Jayson will help you decide on the best option for your unique case.
